COVID 19 INFO

Hello there!

I hope you all are doing ok! Wilburland is open and is actually the perfect place for safe, socially distanced recording! I can’t wait to see you!

I have spent a lot of time figuring out what reopening Wilburland looks like. Here are some of the things I have put in place to keep us safe and healthy!

What I’m doing:

  • I am fully vaccinated! I have been very socially isolated thru all of this. I go from home to the studio where I lock the door and work alone. Then I go home. I rarely go to stores.

  • I have installed a new sink and toilet, for the client accessible bathroom in the basement. This  is for client use only. It Is sanitized after every session.

  • I have a small fridge, bottled water and makings for coffee and tea in the front foyer for you.

  • I have installed studio speakers for playback, (if you don't want to review performances in headphones) and to generally facilitate communication between rooms. I also installed a laptop with screen sharing so we can interact together on the computer. You can see and hear what I'm doing, move the cursor to point things out, etc This seems to work really well!

  • I have stocked up on hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes.

  • I have a plan to wipe down and clean and sanitize after every session. Headphones, headphone mixers, microphones, doorknobs, light switches and anything else I can think of will be wiped down with sanitizing wipes after every session. Pop filters will also be cleaned after every session.

  • I plan to utilize my large microphone collection and rotate mics to avoid use for consecutive sessions when possible.

What you should do:

  • If you are feeling unwell on the day of the session or are exhibiting any symptoms associated with Covid 19 you should not attend the session.

  • You must bring and wear a face mask that covers the mouth and nose when in the building, unless you are actively singing. (Neck gaiters and bandanas are not adequate face coverings.) This includes when you are playing and recording. Please bring your own mask as I cannot guarantee a supply on hand.

  • Everyone must attempt to maintain a social distance of no less than 6 feet when in the building. This will not be difficult in the main studio at Wilburland. Remember, the NYS safety guidance calls for social distance of 6 feet AND face masks when indoors.

Building access:

  • Client access is restricted to the main studio and basement client bathroom only. Unvaccinated clients will not be admitted in the control room or downstairs kitchen/bathroom. In addition, please plan to bring your own food and drink with you as you will not have access to the kitchen.

  • Depending on the local status of the virus there may be a limit of how many people can be in the building. Sadly its difficult to safely accommodate friends and family so sessions should include essential personnel only.

Anything else I can do to make you feel safe here? Please let me know!
